Indian River Flying Club InstructorsAnthony (Tony) SluzenskiChief Instructor Ratings/Qualifications:
Background:I started flying when I was 8 years old at a small airport in Central New Jersey. Washing airplanes and cutting the grass around the hangers earned me flight instruction time in such airplanes as the J-3 Cub, Aeronca 7AC, Cessna 140, and the Sterman PT17. I also got to fly in an old 1928 Standard open cockpit mail plane, before I was old enough to solo. I am a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's 1961 Class. Throughout the years, I have been employed as a Corporate Pilot, FAR 135 Airline Pilot, Test Pilot, Factory Flight Training Specialist, and as Flight Instructor with many reputable schools such as Miami-Dade Junior College (Burnside-Ott), Rutgers University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and our local Florida Institute of Technology. I also served in the U.S. Army Artillery in the Aviation Section on Cessna L-19 Bird Dogs. Availability:Anytime 24/7 Contact:(321) 951-0997 (home)
Casey AllenRatings/Qualifications:
Background:I have had a love of flying ever since my childhood friend introduced me to his flight simulator. The first time I took the controls I knew my career choice would be flying. I have spent most of my time since then focusing on aviation in some capacity. I began flying when I was 14, soloed on my 16th birthday and got my private license on my 17th birthday. Shortly after I received my flight instructor rating and have been instructing in the Indian River Flying Club for over 3 years. I believe that learning to fly should be a pleasurable as well as rewarding experience. Availability:Weekdays/Weekends except Wednesday Contact:(321) 412-3783 Ian RitterRatings/Qualifications:
Background:
I began flying in high school as a member of the Indian River Flight Club in 2003 and I have been in love with aviation ever since. After getting my commercial license in 2007, I began flying as a corporate pilot for a law firm in a Cirrus G3 Turbo while I completed my undergraduate work in business management at UCF. After two years of corporate work, I wanted to expand my horizons beyond the Cirrus and pursue teaching. I recently earned my flight instructor certificate and am eager to begin instructing. As a new instructor, I am in touch with the most up to date teaching methods and information. I am very easy going and will make sure that learning to fly is fun. Availability:Weekdays and weekends any time except Tuesday nights. Contact:Cell: 321-298-9671 This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it |
